Reports from NC Abortuary Warrant Shutdown

image002FAYETTEVILLE – Operation Rescue wants an abortion clinic in North Carolina shut down following reports of filthy conditions and patients suffering from the misdeeds of abortionists.

A woman identified only as “Amanda” went to A Hallmark Women’s Clinic, a licensed abortuary in Fayetteville, where abortionist Melvin Lee Henderson was to perform the surgery. According to Cheryl Sullenger with Operation Rescue, the woman was screaming in pain during the procedure because anesthesia wasn’t working – and she asked Henderson several times to stop, but he completed the abortion while staff held her down.

Later, says Sullenger, Amanda’s mother took her to a hospital emergency room where they discovered she was hemorrhaging internally.

“When they did an ultrasound they found out that her baby was dead but intact, still inside of her womb,” the pro-life activist reports. “[Henderson] had ruptured her uterus four times, he had lacerated her other internal organs, and she had other really serious injuries.”

Surgeons at the hospital performed seven-and-a-half hours of surgery to stop the bleeding and had to do a complete hysterectomy. She was hospitalized for five days.

“… Her doctors told her that they could not believe that this guy was actually licensed to practice medicine,” Sullenger continues. “They thought maybe she had maybe gone to some unlicensed quack, and they just couldn’t believe the damage that he had caused.”

Last January, Sullenger received information on another patient who had an abortion by another abortionist, Malana Moshesh, at the same clinic – without anesthesia. Both women complained of filthy conditions, notes the activist.

Operation Rescue has filed a complaint with the state asking for an inspection – and then padlocks on the doors.
