Seattle’s so-called “autonomous zone” is without police protection because protestors have taken over. Law enforcement seems almost helpless in dealing with violent mobs that shun and hate the police in other cities too. These things make me wonder if we’re near the end of days. Many passages in the New Testament indicate before Christ’s return, there will be rampant lawlessness. In other words, the masses will hold both the law of God and the law of the land in contempt. In the days of Noah, which were a very violent time in human history, God showed he would not indefinitely suffer such insolence toward himself or a moral order. I don’t know whether Christ’s second coming is near or not. But one thing I do know, the success of lawless movements across time have always proven temporary. They prosper only for a while. Their power is never unassailable, and a reckoning day always comes.”
