“I know that I’m going to heaven, not because I’ve been good or even good enough. When I get to heaven, it will be despite my sins – despite my never being able to satisfy God’s high bar of morality sufficiently. On the day of God’s wrath, I will be saved because my faith is in Christ alone and his death on the Cross for my sins – because he opened my heart to receive his supernatural transforming power to become someone other than who I am naturally. His salvation turned me away from what displeases him and implanted within me a love and passion for his will over my own. This conversion, this change of heart and mind is a prerequisite to getting into heaven. This salvation is what fits us for heaven.”
