“I was delighted this year when the state of North Carolina offered a specialty license plate with the phrase, “In God We Trust.” Also, with the words, is our state’s motto, “Esse Quam Videri,” which in Latin means, “To be rather than to seem.” Isn’t that a powerful admonition for life? Trust in God and act genuinely. Be true to him and demonstrate integrity with your fellow man. It’s a constant struggle because we are naturally prone to settle for an empty semblance of righteousness instead of showing righteousness itself.”
