Now Let Us Not Be Content to Wait and See What Will Happen, But Have the Determination to Make the Right Things Happen

The late great Presbyterian minister and former chaplain to the United States Senate, Peter Marshall, once prayed: “Let us not be content to wait and see what will happen, but give us the determination to make the right things happen.”
With the inauguration of our new President Donald J. Trump, let us, the people of God, commit to personal involvement in our nation’s affairs, willing to raise high the banner of right living.
Let us be informed citizens, knowing the issues, knowing who represents us in our state and federal legislatures, as well as our courts. Let us pray for them, our President, and Vice-President, and our Governor – regularly and earnestly. Let us support our leaders when they are in the right. Let us respectfully rebuke and resist them when they are in the wrong. Let us see no sacrifice too great for our country.
God bless President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. God bless the great state of North Carolina. God bless the United States of America.
