Pro-lifers from across North Carolina are encouraged to attend the “Free Speech, Why Not NC” rally, this Tuesday, May 25th, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the main entrance to the Legislative Building on 16 W. Jones Street in Raleigh. The rally will highlight that North Carolina is the only state in the Southeast to prohibit the purchase of “Choose Life” specialty license plates. Funds from the sale of these plates would support a state-wide network of pregnancy centers that provide compassionate alternatives to abortion. Legislation for “Choose Life” license plates has been introduced by Rep. Mitch Gillespie (R-Burke) for eight years, but none have ever been allowed a vote in either chamber of the North Carolina General Assembly. Come! Your presence does make a difference!
