Dr. Richard Land serves as the president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. Since becoming president in 1988, Land has represented the largest protestant denomination in the halls of Congress, had the audience of U.S. Presidents, and often appeared on the national media.
He has been featured in Time Magazine as one of “The Twenty-five Most Influential Evangelicals in America.
Land currently host three nationally syndicated radio broadcast and speaks passionately and authoritatively on the social, ethical, and public policy issues facing the nation.
He is also executive editor of FFV, a national publication dedicated to covering traditional religious values, Christian ethics, and cultural trends.
This week, on behalf of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, Dr. Land sent a letter of commendation to the Christian Action League’s executive director, Rev. Mark Creech, for his “tireless efforts to protect the people of North Carolina and our nation from the dangers of tobacco use.”
