The North Carolina Senate must have been too busy this week rolling out their two-year, $20.5 billion State budget proposal, for the Judiciary II Committee to take-up
SB 7 – Allow Hunting on Sunday on Tuesday, April 7, as planned.
Dozens of people contacted members of the JII Committee and voiced their opposition to the measure. The legislation would unquestionably compromise the safe enjoyment of outdoor recreational activities on Sunday, disrupt church services in many rural areas, discourage family time, intensify the pressure on North Carolina’s wildlife, and strain the Wildlife Resources Commission services.
It is not known at this time when the legislation might come up again.
