Dear Friend of the Christian Action League,
The effects of the coronavirus and N.C. Governor Roy Cooper’s lockdown is still with us. Although a federal judge handed down a decision, which says churches in North Carolina may now open their doors again to more than ten worshippers, many churches for various reasons have yet to return to normality. The situation remains a challenge for churches and their contribution levels.
Because most of the Christian Action League’s funds come from churches that have written the League into their annual budgets, lower contribution levels for the churches translate into fewer funds for the League to carry on its work.
Currently, the North Carolina General Assembly is in session. Our presence in the Legislative Building is an essential voice for Christians with a biblical worldview. With all our state is facing, a strong moral compass is needed more than ever in those halls of power. The Christian Action League provides this unique service like none other.
But I am very concerned about our ability to continue this ministry effectively unless some of our friends come to our aid right away! At this moment, we did not make payroll for last week and could be facing the same again by the end of this week.
This is why I am asking you to consider doing a couple of things in response.
- Please pause and pray for us, and then if the Lord leads you to do it, send us your best gift immediately.

We understand that you may be going through your own financial struggles. However, if you have some to spare, we are asking you to share it with us, since the current circumstances are so critical. We are not asking only for ourselves, but for Christ’s sake – for the One we faithfully serve.
- If you are a pastor or key church leader, would you consider speaking with the appropriate persons and asking your church to consider drawing from its discretionary funds, benevolence, etc. to send us $100 immediately? We desperately need your church’s help during this period of financial drought. (I am currently seeking to find at least 200 churches that will give at least $100.)
I am justifiably concerned because we have always operated so closely from month to month anyway. Still, the aftermath of the coronavirus health crisis threatens our ability to stay on top of all the pertinent issues. We have to raise enough funds to make sure that we remain operative throughout the entire crisis period, or until some semblance of normalcy returns.
I am prayerfully looking to you for your help. Thank you for your time and consideration.
God Bless,
Dr. Mark Creech
