Christian Action League
December 3, 2014
A public speaker was rushed to the hospital in an emergency, and a nurse, fresh from school was assigned to him. Instead of a thermometer, she put a barometer in his mouth. When she took a reading it said, “Dry and windy.”
Earlier this week, I expressed that every Sunday in December this year was open for a speaking engagement. Here’s the link to what I wrote:
https://christianactionleague.org/news/cal-director-seeks-to-fill-open-sundays-in-december/
After a number of invitations having already come in, there are two Sundays left that remain open in this month:
December 7th and December 21st
I also mentioned that because it’s the Christmas season and most churches already have something special planned for each Sunday, I don’t get as many speaking engagement invitations during this time of the year. Still, some pastors are looking for some time off during the holidays, while other churches are without a pastor and looking for a supply preacher. This could be a good time to have me give a short report about the work of the Christian Action League, and then to preach a biblically-based message about the way God’s people need to be engaged in the political process.
I am willing to come on Sunday mornings (preferable) or Sunday nights.
The terms for a speaking engagement are much easier than you may think. Just contact our office (919.787.0606), and ask to speak with John deRosset, my administrative assistant. John can make all the arrangements.
I promise, if you call on me for a speaking engagement, it won’t be “dry and windy.”
God Bless,
