“Pastors and lay leaders want their churches to grow. So, they look to the latest method and technique. This church growth expert says it should be done this way or that way. It’s like marketing, what appeals to the most people. But let me tell you what brings results – real results – simple obedience to God’s commands. When Peter and his friends cast their fishing nets as the Lord instructed them, the boat was so filled with fish it started to sink. I guess I’m so ignorant and backward that I still believe if God’s prophets preached the whole counsel of God and professing Christians would actually live it, most churches would be filled to capacity and looking for ways to accommodate more. It’s just that simple.”
