“Sometimes, when attempting to win a lost soul to Christ, the individual says, ‘I hesitate to give my life to the Lord because I’m afraid I won’t keep living it. I’m too sinful and weak. I can’t live it.’ The fact is, no one can live the Christian life in their own strength. However, when we come to God in faith, just as we are trusting Christ for the forgiveness of our sins, God empowers us with his Spirit. We find a prevailing desire that starts to live within us, which keeps us moving in the right direction toward God. We find we are enabled by a strength beyond ourselves to live as God desires.
