“The Scriptures admonish us to ‘be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might’ (Eph. 6:10). Do you know what this means? It means if you are walking upright before God, the lions of this world will seek to devour you. It means you can only know God’s strength if you’re challenged – if you’re challenged by hostile and malicious haters of God. Most pastors hardly ever preach or speak to an audience unless it’s in the relative comfort of their friendly Parish. That’s why so many are quick to resign or leave the ministry if seriously pressed with ungodly resistance. They have no experience with what it is to know if God be for you who can be against you? (Rom. 8:31). They’re weak and their faith is relatively untested. They must learn to endure like a good soldier. They must become roaring lambs, who are passionate for the cause of Christ.”
