The incomparable Will Rogers had an interesting take on the foreign missionary work of his day. He once said, “We are always saving somebody away off…Why, we can’t even Christianize our legislators.”
I certainly don’t want to disparage in any fashion the work of foreign missions. Nevertheless, I would agree that there is too little emphasis on the church’s responsibility to bring the Gospel of Christ and the principles of the Word of God to bear on our political process.
About a year ago, the leadership of one church rejected a request from some of its members to support the Christian Action League, saying, they only wanted their funds to go to missions. But I strongly argue the Christian Action League is Christian missions. Churches need to understand our ministry can be the difference between God-fearing legislators or God-sneering ones.
Maybe your church would like to give to our ministry. We could use your help at this time! Currently, we are behind in four months’ rent for our office space. Soon December’s payment will be due. We must raise $5,000 by December 31st if we want to keep this prime space in Raleigh, which our landlord provides for us at a significantly reduced rate.
If you believe in our calling, if you are thankful for our efforts, would you please share our need with your Sunday school class, your Missions Group, your pastor, deacons or elders? Perhaps a special offering could be taken for us. Perhaps a designated gift from church funds could be sent.
Maybe you would like to personally give to our work. If yes, go to the right margin of this website and click on the section where you read, Your Support Needed and make your contribution online.
You can also send a gift by mail to:
Christian Action League of North Carolina, Inc.

If you cannot give, perhaps you could stop immediately and pray for us. Ask God to meet all of our needs so that we can continue doing this work, which is so strategic to the moral climate of our state.
We are exceedingly thankful for any previous support that you, your church or church organization may have given. Every donation large and small is considered important to us. Moreover, our Lord promises that even a glass of water offered in his name will not go unrewarded.
