By Jeff Larson, The Back Pew

As the congregation was filing out of the sanctuary after the sermon, a man was confronted by the pastor. The pastor said to him, “Friend, you need to join the army of the Lord!” The man replied, “I’m already in the army of the Lord, pastor.” The pastor asked, “How come I never see you except at Christmas and Easter?” The man whispered back, “I’m in the Secret Service.”
Let’s not have any Secret Service Christians. Go to church this Sunday! The Scriptures admonish: “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near” (Hebrews 10:25).
