Dear Friends,
Many of you share my concerns about the cultural decline of our country, our state, and our communities. To combat this decline, I’m launching the first annual Black Mountain Weekend on September 26th, 27th and 28th.
The Black Mountain Weekend is an invitation-only men’s retreat to be held at the Ridgecrest Conference Center just outside of scenic Black Mountain, NC.
The weekend will be a time for men of faith to join together for a time of faith, fellowship, and fun.
Speakers and presenters will share their real-world experiences and lead the group in discussions on issues that confront our nation, state, and communities—all in a casual and fun environment that will facilitate fellowship and networking—and all from a Biblical worldview.
We don’t need to look very far to see men in our community that are stumbling and falling. In my opinion and frankly, experience, husbands, dads and brothers are not equipped to handle many challenges that face them. We recognize that “men” need encouragement, tools and resources to be effective in their communities.
It is my honor to invite you to join me for this time of encouragement and learning.

DATE: September 26th, 27th and 28th. Black Mountain Weekend will begin on Friday evening with dinner, to be followed by a full day on Saturday and will end after a breakfast event on Sunday morning. On each day, attendees will build relationships and will hear from nationally- recognized speakers.
LODGING: The Black Mountain Weekend will be at Ridgecrest Conference Center, owned by Lifeway. There will be two men per room. You may request a roommate on your invitation request form or one will be assigned to you.
FOOD: The cost of The Black Mountain Weekend includes dinner on Friday night, breakfast on Saturday, lunch on Saturday, dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.
DRESS: This will be a laid-back and casual weekend. Please wear jeans, etc. We want you to be comfortable as you spend time in the seminars and networking with other attendees.
COST: The rate for attending Black Mountain Weekend is all-inclusive. It covers two nights of lodging, five meals, materials, and all-access entry to hear our esteemed speakers. If you register before June 15th, you will qualify for the EARLY BIRD SPECIAL rate of $200. After June 15th, the rate to attend will be $225. If the price to attend Black Mountain Weekend is too high for you, we are able to offer a limited amount of scholarships.
