Some folks won’t like this statement. That’s fine with me. But if Donald Trump ultimately loses this election, there is a part of me that will rejoice for him. He has endured so much unjust treatment for so long from the media and various nefarious political forces, his suffering, God willing, will be over. Whatever you may think of him, he’s delivered on his promises. Despite his constant, relentless opposition, he’s accomplished extraordinary things, and he did it without accepting a paycheck. He is like a soldier wounded by his own people, who knew nothing about how to appreciate his sacrifice. Excuse me if I don’t sound a word of hope at the moment or encourage unity; this, I believe, needs to be said. We don’t deserve him!!! We aren’t good enough for him. Moreover, if he loses, his grief may be over, but our suffering will start soon enough. Those who hated him and always picked at his every flaw and highlighted his slightest shortcomings while also minimizing every grand thing he ever did, hate with the same fervor the conservative evangelicals who loved and appreciated him.
