Christian Action League
October 9, 2013
Wednesday, October 9, Dr. Mark Creech appeared on the Christian television broadcast, Triangle Alive, a local talk show carried on various cable networks and hosted by Roger Wiggs.
Dr. Creech was invited on the broadcast by Wiggs to talk about the Christian Action League and its current financial fight for its life. “I so deeply appreciate the invitation to be on the show,” said Dr. Creech. “When Roger and others with the Christian television station, WRAY, based in Wilson heard about our struggles, they made haste to contact me. They felt that people within their viewing area and beyond should know about our ministry and how strategic it is to the formulation of public-policy matters taken up in the North Carolina General Assembly,” he added.
The program which airs on WRAY every Friday evenings from 6:30 -7:30 pm will feature Dr. Creech on its broadcast this Friday night, October 11. It will also air nationally in the near future on the TCT Network. However, the program guide for the national airing on TCT is not currently available. The Christian Action League plans to let its friends know as soon as the information regarding the time for its national showing is made available.
Wiggs said Dr. Creech was very transparent during the interview. “He spoke candidly about the League’s role and its critical work of bringing a strong Christian worldview to bear on the state’s legislative process. And he explained that the current low in contributions was tied to a bad economy, difficulties for non-profits everywhere, painful cuts that contributing churches have had to make to their own budgets, and the loss of a major donor who could not help this year.”
WRAY in Wilson, North Carolina is one of the most powerful television stations in the Tar Heel state broadcasting in Standard and High Definition. The national network of which it is an affiliate, TCT, has been broadcasting in North Carolina for 20 years from its Greensboro affiliate, WLXI. The TCT Network is an Emmy Award winning honoree and is recognized as a leader in Christian Television, receiving the 2009 Christian Network of the Year Award.
Dr. Creech said that he was honored to have been on Triangle Alive and is grateful to the folks at WRAY and TCT for making his appearance on their programming possible.
“I earnestly pray God will use the show to garner the support we so desperately need at this time. I made it clear to the audience that our plea is not just a fundraising ploy or an embellishment of matters. This is the truth, if we cannot clear out our debt of $30,000 soon, if we do not hear from our friends in a demonstration of support, we will have to suspend operations. I am praying every day that more and more Christians will understand our unique Christian role of influence on the state’s lawmaking. I pray every day for a miracle” said the League’s Director.
