RALEIGH — The Christian Action League is pleased to introduce its new Director of Development, Sarah H. Bowman of Lillington.
A graduate of Campbell University School of Law and the University of Virginia, Bowman has worked as a document review specialist and legal consultant as well as an insurance agent. She’ll begin immediately contacting supporters of the Christian Action League to develop a wide network of potential contributors.
“We are fortunate to have the support of many churches across North Carolina, but there are also many more congregations and organizations that aren’t familiar with our work in the General Assembly,” said the Rev. Mark Creech, executive director and lobbyist for the 74-year-old public policy organization. “We are blessed to have Mrs. Bowman teaming up with us to spread the word and build support.”
A native of Virginia, Bowman accepted Christ at the age of 6 and was not hesitant to share her faith, helping to form a Students for Christ club at her high school. She was president of her chapter of Alpha Delta Pi at UVA, leading the women with Psalm 15, the sorority’s official scripture.
Now a wife and a mother of two stepdaughters, Bowman said she has been able to see God working in her life at every phase and has felt a calling to put her talents to work for the Christian Action League.
“We feel Sarah is an answer to prayer for the Christian Action League, with her legal background, her experience in marketing and sales from the insurance industry, and most importantly, her heart for furthering God’s work,” said the Rev. Creech. “We can’t wait for folks to meet her.”
The CAL already represents conservative evangelicals from some 17 denominations in the Tar Heel state. The Rev. Creech said Bowman will be touching base with longtime supporters as well as reaching out to those who have not yet been affiliated with the organization.
Sarah may be reached at her email address, sarah@christianactionleague.org or by calling 919-971-3355.
