Update: This week Rev. Mark Creech wrote the Chancellor’s of more than 25 Colleges and Universities in the Tar Heel state and asked them to formally complain to Anheuser Busch about the marketing of “fan cans.” “Admittedly, some students are going to drink regardless of can colors or any other factor; but study after study has shown that young people are affected by alcohol marketing. And challenging them, as the brewer has, to “show your colors” with these cans “made for game-day” will no doubt encourage more drinking,” wrote Rev. Creech.
