I am pro-life, which means I am against war, against destroying God’s creation through pollution, against the death penalty, and against any policies that lead to poverty and violence throughout the world. The Religious Right have become a misguided group who traded the Gospel of Jesus for the Gospel of American Empire; who traded Jesus’ calls to end poverty and violence for the Empire’s call to wage war and to profit from the underprivileged.

It depends upon the democrat, and what office is being run for. Local, state and national elections cover different spheres of influence and impact different policy decisions. With that in mind, it is clear this is a complicated issue. Although party affiliation serves as a handy rule-of-thumb, it cannot substitute for research and careful deliberation.

I must agree with Rev. Reese…It’s the platform that causes me to usually vote Republican. However, not all Republican’s live by the platform. Therefore, I cannot always vote Republican. Sometimes, the man/woman running stands against principles of the party platform. Sometimes it is impossible to vote for the Republican.

I also agree with Rev. Reese that Obama will do more damage to this country than we can stand up against. He reminds me of what the anti-Christ will be like.

I agree with most of what you had to say in your article. There have been at best questionable actions by members of both parties and still continue today. I think however, from a platform point of view, the Republican party does stand for Christian values while I honestly believe most of the Democratic platform is anti-Christian. I don’t make this statement lightly, because in our countries past we have had some great Christian Democrats. However, today their candidate refuses to even put the American flag on his jet. If this man wins, we as a country may never recover.
